A smile came on my face when I was watching a scene from Amir's latest movie: Peepli Live. Where Breaking news was being made on Natha; who was performing his daily morning excretion activity. But soon that smile turned dead....not because Natha was shown dead for a moment in the later part of the movie. But because this single scene had a hard hidden ugly truth behind it:
How media, politician, and us... are enjoying this naked dance of poverty.
When we talk about India shining & rising GDP numbers, we seldom talk about the other side of the story...how can we? we simply don't know that truth. And the irony is that, even if we know the truth...we can barely know how it feels...
The shameless limit of our hypocrisy is such that; we appreciate the work done in the movie, but we do nothing thereafter to alleviate the pain that was soul behind its success. Here again we come out of luxurious multiplexes and drop a coin in the bowl...
