What Countries Force Kids to Work?

Remember a few years back, when big companies such as Nike kept getting immersed in sweatshop scandals? You hardly hear about that sort of stuff anymore. But the fact is, child labor and forced labor remain startlingly common throughout the developing world.

This superb interactive chart shows you everything you need to know, from the countries where child and forced labor are most prevalent, to what exactly is being made -- the point being to better inform people, so that they can avoid such goods.

The data comes from a report by the U.S. Department of Labor, showing 122 goods made in 58 countries, using children or those working against their will. Here, for example, is the view given of each country. The various industries which use inhumane labor are depicted in icons:

If you were asked a question 10 years earlier from now, that, " Would mobile be such a dominant force in the coming decade?", you would have certainly answered, "I don't know, may be, may be not!". But after 10 years, i.e. today we see whole lot of changes in the world that could not imagine 10 years earlier...

This world is full of possibilities, and with technology; it is full of next generation solutions to the present and future problems.

Whether it comes to technology in finance, or online content generation, technology has tremendously powerful tools to heal the dilemma presented by current issues. Social networking sites have been busy creating a virtual world, where it no longer matters whether you are an African, or German.

It had some serious consequences too in the past like Automated trading and banking frauds. But over all it had very strong positive impact on the social life.

We don't know yet ( so it remains possible), that mobile technology would enable the future generation to stop corruption by eliminating the middle man (which are getting annulled every day). Like micro finance, many other possibilities in areas like: Education, Security, PDS etc can witness the mobile revolution in near future in the developing countries like India. Over all, it remains to be guessed (later on seen), what technology can help the humanity achieve... [In the comments column below you can express your views on what can be achieved...]

Martian view of Entrepreneurs!

An Entrepreneur is always with a capital "E"....

E ~ Energy, Emotions, & Entrepreneur

My view of an entrepreneur is that "An Entrepreneur is unemployable!". You can never employ an entrepreneur, because he employs you!

These people would never accept the norms, they would strive to achieve what is impossible for others... They see the possibility, not the deficits.

They have a child like ability to question, plus with an added power of the ability to decide by themselves. These people would consult with everyone, but would decide without anyone!

Muscles of a country can be built by its entrepreneurial capacity...not by its employable youth count! So, if you call India a future super power then think of a India with thousands of entrepreneurs emerging every day here n there.

But this is the most, failed segment of business activity too, that's why see so few of them surviving. Remembering Gabbar shing's dialog: "Jo Darr Gaya...Samjho Mar Gaya". Or in an edited version: "Samjho Job Mil Gaya!!!"

3 types of Entrepreneurs*:

- THE BELIEVERS: People who knew entrepreneurship was the Chosen Path. They took the plunge straight after their MBA or after working barely a couple of years. And they persevered until they made it big!

- THE OPPORTUNISTS: These entrepreneurs did not plan to take this path but when opportunity knocked they seized it. Their stories go to show that you don't have to be 'born with it', you can develop an entrepreneurial bent of mind at any age.

- THE ALTERNATE VISION: These individuals are using entrepreneurship to create social impact. Or as a platform which allows them creative expression.
